Personal Trainer

Are you looking for a personal trainer in Rushden, Wellingborough, Olney or neighbouring villages?

If you want a Personal Trainer that will specifically work around your lifestyle and location, to help you structure an exercise program to meet your needs with your current fitness levels, then I’d love to help you.

With so much in the press these days about rising levels of obesity and the confusion around nutrition and the best forms of exercise, it’s no wonder people can become confused and overwhelmed.

As a Personal Trainer and a gold medal-winning athlete with a lifetime of experience in various training methods and 10 years of actual Personal Training, I am well placed to help you through this minefield of information and help you achieve your personal fitness goals in a supportive, efficient, safe and timely manner.

How you will benefit from using me as your Personal Trainer

Everything will be tailored to you as an individual and help you get to the bottom of why you may have struggled in the past to achieve your fitness and weight loss goals. I will endeavour to make the sessions enjoyable whilst also being very productive. I have worked with all manner of men and women from the extremely unfit right up to weekend warriors who demand a high level of fitness for their endeavours!

Kettlebell training is my speciality and I will use this in conjunction with other fitness tools such as TRX suspension trainer, Bulgarian bags, Concept 2 rowing and body weight exercises.

As a sponsored kettlebell athlete who has competed several times internationally with Team England and won Gold medals whilst doing so, I am in a unique position to help you master these fantastic strength and fitness conditioning tools, which will help us get you into the best shape of your life!

“I first started working with Del in 2015 when I was some 5 stones heavier and very unfit. Del was non-judgemental and encouraging and set up a programme that helped me develop a good level of fitness whilst accommodating my size.
Having now lost all of the weight, I am back under the guidance of Del, following his Kettlebell pentathlon training plan and getting his expert advice on good form. He is always willing to share his knowledge and is incredibly supportive. A top Personal Trainer and a genuinely nice guy”

Where will the sessions take place?

We can meet in one of two small gyms in Rushden which I have access to or I can meet you at your home. Nice sunny day? Then I’d also be delighted to train you at a local park. Whatever suits you best.

Please remember, our sessions will be tailored around you and your current fitness levels so there will be no boot camp style shouting and hollering. (unless you want me to of course)

Please take a look at my testimonials to see how many of my other clients have found the experience of working with me.

6 reasons why you will benefit from training with me as your Personal Trainer

  • Accountability
  • Motivation
  • Learn proper technique and form
  • Lasting results
  • Personalised workouts designed specifically with your goals in mind
  • Time efficient workouts with proper structure.

How does Personal Training work?

There will be an initial consultation which is free of charge. I will give you some forms to fill in but it's mainly about us having a chat to discuss your current situation, your goals and ultimately, plan a way forward. This is very much a two-way thing and I won't push you to more sessions than you can afford.

Where will we train?

We can either train at your house or nearby park (weather permitting) or I have access to 3 gyms in the Rushden area so you can pick from one of these.

If we train at home do I need some equipment?

Not at all. If you have some equipment then, by all means, we can use it but no equipment is necessary as I bring it to your house.

I'm not fit at all. Will it work for me?

Absolutely! Providing you have no serious medical issues that will need referring to a doctor first, then we will be good to go. These will be flagged up on the initial consultation. A lack of fitness is probably one of the reasons why you contacted a Personal Trainer in the first place, so don't fear that. I will meet you where you are currently with your fitness levels and progress you from there.

Isn't it a bit expensive?

When it comes to good health, what price can you put on that? Accountability is a big factor here. You are far more likely to keep to your sessions with a personal trainer than you are to keep up a gym membership. In time, you may become confident enough in your self to continue on your own once you have the knowledge to do so.

Will you shout at me? I don't want a bootcamp style session!

That's not my style at all. Gentle coaxing works better as far as I'm concerned. I believe in starting at a place where you feel comfortable and gradually increase the intensity as you become fitter and stronger. You will, of course, need to step outside of your comfort zone but not so much that you become stressed about your appointments with me.
